Julia Lotvin: President

Julia Lotvin is the 2019-2020 president of T4C, aka the most prestigious position held by any undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley. Surprisingly enough however, she wasn’t born into this position. She grew up in a humble lil’ town in Massachusetts and always dreamed of becoming a star. One day, she purchased a ticket to the Golden State and began her journey. She hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and her cardigan. Nearby, a sign read “Welcome to the land of fame excess” and she questioned, “Whoa, am I gonna fit in?”. She then jumped in a cab, thinking ‘here I am for the first time.’ Lotvin looked to her right and saw the Hollywood sign. “This is all so crazy. Everybody seems so famous,” she thought. Suddenly, her tummy was turnin’ and she was feelin’ kinda homesick. Too much pressure and she was nervous. That’s when the taxi man turned on the radio. And the Jay-Z song was on.... and the Jay-Z song was on... and the Jay-Z song was on. So, obviously enough, she put her hands up and shrieked, “They’re playing my song!” And the butterflies flew away. Soon after, Lotvin was noddin’ her head like “yeah”. Movin’ her hips like “yeah.” As the song concluded, Lotvin peered out the window to the tall buildings of Los Angeles and as a single teardrop rolled down her cheek, she whispered “Its a party in the USA.”
